Hello team,
We have begun to work again on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30-5:00, Saturdays 10-4, and Sundays 1-4. We know everyone may not get a chance to work but don’t be discouraged. Come participate by helping the team with moving equipment, learning the game rules, and scouting.
Membership
All members please note that you have DUES to pay. Please pay them as soon as possible. You will not be able to attend any regional if you don’t pay your dues. Also, Please remember that we need everyone to sign up on the STIMS and we have to have all member sign up before Peachtree Regional. If you don’t sign up you will not be able to attend regional. Dues are only $25 so please try to get them in as soon as possible.
Drive Team
We will be running tryouts within the next two weeks. You have to know all the game rules including the updates on the game. Also, Members have to know how the robot functions. This means you have to attend the majority of the meetings from now until regional.
Facts about Peachtree Regional
Email was sent to parents and a hard copy was given to student’s concerning the needs of the team and the agenda for the competition. Please respond to Mrs. Rutland if you can help with food and transportation.

The Hand-out/Peachtree Regional Agenda
On March 17,18,19, the Peachtree Regional Competition will occur at the Gwinnett Civic Center.
* On that Thursday 3/17, a carefully chosen skeletal team will need to be out of school all day to set up our pit area, remove the robot from the crate, make any changes or additions and practice. These students will primarily be the field team (4 students), safety captains and pit crew ( ~3 students) and a small scouting team (~3 students). Students will be trying out for these positions over the next 3 weeks and they must have at least a C average in each of their classes to participate.
* On Friday, seeding matches will begin and any team member who has your permission and at least a C average in each class, may come for the day. These students will make up the cheering section and will help in the pit and scouting. There will be an awards ceremony that afternoon for previously decided competitive awards.
* Friday evening ALL students are encouraged to come to the school from about 6-10 PM, where there will be a "Social" sponsored by FIRST Robotics and hosted by our PRHS Robolions!! There will be food (cost for team members is covered by the team), inflatables, rock band and other fun, supervised activities. .
* On Saturday, 3/19, the seeding matches will be completed and the FINAL level of the competition will begin and run through the afternoon.
The Facts:
1. Students must have signed permission forms to Mrs Rutland before attending either Thurs or Friday.
2. All students provide their own transportation to and from the event each day. They may arrange car-pools with willing adults and with your permission. EAT breakfast and dress comfortably including closed toe shoes- it will be exciting and at times stressful! : )
3. All family members are encouraged to come for all or part of each day. It will be crazy FREE fun!
4. Attached is the schedule.
The Needs:
1. I am looking for one or two parents who are willing to coordinate lunches for the team while at competition. You would need to be available about 2 hours each day- Thurs, Fri and Sat. This could also be split up between several adults if there are enough volunteers.
2. Lunch can be picked up from Subway, Wendy's, ChickFila etc or homemade. It is much more efficient and safe for our team if the food is brought to the event rather than us trying to leave and go get food. I can discuss how we have handled this in the past with anyone who is interested.
3. Please let me know by 3/4 if you are able to help.
4. Also while at competition, if you could donate bottled water, granola bars and other individually packaged snacks, it is GREATLY appreciated.
