i found out what was wrong with it... now i just need to know how to set the directories permission

Um. Mind sharing what was wrong with it?

Which directory and what for? Permissions are very important to file security.

On a different note, Wordpress 3.0 is out and has several new features. Could be worth continuing to use.

Yes I am doing the update now... the navigation problems that we were having was due to the navigational settings... which i fixed... site is up and running... to see what i am talking about in the permission look at the Arras theme and it will be an error up top to change to either 777 or 755...

Fixed the permissions error. Doubt it was really needed (don't think we use the thumbnailing feature), but I fixed it.
